About Too Many Zooz
From their beginnings as New York City subway buskers to stages around the world, Too Many Zooz have become a viral sensation known for their wildly energetic performances, infectious grooves and unmistakable sound. Formed in 2013, the trio features baritone saxophonist Leo “Leo P” Pellegrino, trumpeter Matt “Doe” Muirhead and drummer David “King of Sludge” Parks, combining avant-garde jazz, EDM, punk rock and other influences into their signature “Brass House” sound.
After going viral in 2014, the group quickly gained international attention, releasing their debut album Subway Gawdz in 2016 and appearing on Beyoncé’s Lemonade, followed by a performance with Beyoncé and The Chicks at the CMA Awards. Their videos have amassed millions of views, and their 2024 sophomore album Retail Therapy continued to expand their distinctive sound with appearances from Moon Hooch, Thumpasaurus, Lucky Chops and Too Many T’s.
